Beta Terms of Use

1. Scope

VHF14 is a free beta collaboration service for structured port-call intelligence. The operating provider’s full legal details will appear before the public beta opens.

2. Professional information service

VHF14 is not an official VTS, port authority, navigational, safety, emergency or traffic-control service. Information must not be the sole basis for navigation, manoeuvring, safety-of-life decisions or regulatory compliance.

3. Equal professional participation

VTS, pilots, tug and mooring crews, terminals, ship agents, masters, bridge teams and other authorised port professionals may contribute under the same good-faith, confidentiality and verification rules.

4. Reports

Contributors must distinguish observation from estimate, minimise personal data and be authorised to share the information. A submission is not automatically verified. VHF14 may hold, corroborate, correct, reject or remove reports while preserving an audit trail.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

Access is personal. Scraping, automated extraction, interference, unlawful use and attempts to identify confidential contributors are prohibited.

6. Availability

Beta information may be delayed, incomplete or under review. Features may change as the community tests and improves the service.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VHF14 is not responsible for decisions made solely from unverified or delayed operational information. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
